What Makes Paris the romantic destination It Is?

So this time in Paris, I went with a friend. Last time I did go with my boyfriend. This time, I kept my eyes open to romantic clichés.

Arriving into Paris was heated. Scorching weather. It is quite beautiful on a nice day to be taken around a few popular tourist spots whilst driving into the city. I think a lot of areas in Paris live up to romantic clichés. Other than Montmartre, my favourite area is that of the Champs-Élysées. In all its grandness it is quite a beautiful area.

The Eiffel tower seems to become even more of a romantic cliché at night. Cherry blossom trees surrounding the bottom and then making your way up, seeing beautiful views of Paris at night where you can see the Arc de Triomphe lit up and the Sacré-Cœur. Then the light show on the tower itself gets switched on which dazzles (or blinds) some. Walking around the floors inside the Eiffel Tower itself, you come across people dressed to the nines having a meal.

What i find or found to be another big cliché is the Seine River. Couples taking selfies…walking hand in hand on the bridge and even putting ‘love locks’ onto the bridge (which by the way, is not allowed). We went onto a boat cruise, which, yet again, we spotted people arriving, dressed fancy to sit and have dinner on a boat next to a grand piano playing. Our cruise was beautiful and interesting. We did also spot a lot of loved-up couples about, especially when the sunset began. It is indeed a glorious sight to be on a Seine River cruise and to see the sun coming down behind the Notre-Dame. It seems to illuminate, bring out features in architecture and highlight the waters ripples.

Depending on your interests and personality, paris can just naturally set a romantic atmosphere.
